A three-day kite festival was held at Dhaka Boat Club Organized by the Executive Committee 2025–26 of Dhaka Boat Club, the festival was successfully completed with the enthusiastic participation of respected club members and their families, especially children and teenagers. The event took place from March 21 (Eid day) to March 23, 2026. The kite festival was held daily from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the open field adjacent to the club.
To mark the successful Organized of the festival, Club President Mr. Rubel Aziz expressed his gratitude to the executive committee and members. He said, “Due to the scarcity of space and playgrounds in Dhaka city, children and teenagers are gradually losing interest in outdoor sports and recreation, depriving them of healthy entertainment. Dhaka Boat Club will continue to play a supportive role in providing recreational opportunities for its members’ children by regularly organizing such festivals.” He also expressed hope that this initiative would continue in the future.
President-in-Charge Mr. Nakib Sarkar Opu was present at the event. Among other members of the executive committee, Syed Abu Sulaiman (Rana), Abdus Sabur Khan, Jesmul Huda Mehedi Opu, Khaleda Akter Jahan, Atikur Rahman, Mirza Anik Islam, Asma Aziz, Alim Al Kazi Tuhin, and Monir Hossain Iman were also present and encouraged the members and children throughout the festival.
