Shahjalal Islami Bank inks deal with Daraz

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC signed an agreement with Daraz Bangladesh Limited on Tuesday at the Bank’s Corporate Head Office.

In presence of the Managing Director & CEO of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, the Additional Managing Director & CBO of the Bank Abdul Aziz and the Chairman of Daraz Bangladesh Limited Syed Mostahidal Hoq, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations, reads a press release. 

After the agreement was signed, the Additional Managing Director & CTO of the Bank S. M. Mainuddin Chowdhury, exchanged the document with the Chairman of the Daraz.

Under this agreement, Daraz Bangladesh Limited will utilize the bank’s digital payment services through their ERP system from their premises, enabling them to make payments to their clients, vendors, and suppliers.

This system is secured by industry-standard security solutions, eliminating the need for physical visits to the bank. 

Corporate entities can also access Corporate Payment Management services without physically visiting the bank premises.

Among others, the Additional Managing Directors of the Bank, Mian Quamrul Hasan Chowdhury & M. Akhter Hossain, the Deputy Managing Directors, Imtiaz U. Ahmed, and other officials from both organizations were also present in the signing ceremony.
