Inclusive development hinges on leveraging the entire population’s potential, asserts Mr. Kamal

Dhaka University Alumni Association’s Platinum Jubilee, year-long program to mark 75 years of its establishment, was inaugurated and felicitation ceremony held at TSC of DU on Saturday.
Dhaka University VC Maqsood Kamal as the chief guest on the occasion said, “In February, a presentation will be made in front of all the branches of the Alumni Association, a design will be made on how we can make overall development along with the academic plan.”
Also referring to the predominance of 58 percent female students in Dhaka University, he said that if we want to progress, women should be given good opportunities for education and employment.
“The overall development of the country is not possible without leaving a part of the population behind or using its own human resources,” Mr. Kamal added.
Dhaka University Alumni Association executive committee member and former president A.K. Azad, MP, cultural secretary Ferdous Ahmed, MP, executive committee member Nasser Shahriar Zahedi, MP and former member of parliament Afzal Hossain, former member of parliament for women reserved seat Aroma Dutta and Syed Manzoor Elahi were honored on that occasion.
Secretary General of the organization Molla Abu Kawsar gave a welcome speech and President Anwar Ul Alam Chowdhury (Parvez) presided over the event.
Additionally, A.K. Azad, MP, requested DUAA to contact and coordinate with all alumni students outside and inside the country.
He also said that this step will make an important contribution to financial and overall development.
