Fifteen ministers, 13 state ministers dropped

Fifteen ministers and 13 state ministers including Agriculture Minster Abdur Razzak, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Planning Minister MA Mannan, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Health Minister Zahid Malekand two deputy ministers have dropped out from the new cabinet.

The swearing-in of the new cabinet members will be held tomorrow Thursday at 7 pm at Bangabhaban. Apart from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the cabinet department has named 25 full ministers (two technocrats) and 11 state ministers.

Before the announcement of the schedule for the 12th National Assembly elections, the Awami League-led cabinet had 25 ministers, 19 state ministers and 3 deputy ministers besides the prime minister. Two technocrat (non-Members of Parliament) ministers and one state minister resigned after the announcement of the schedule. They are Science and Technology Minister Architect Yafes Osman, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar and State Planning Minister Shamsul Alam. Among them, only Yafes Osman is in the new cabinet. Mostafa Jabbar and Shamsul Alam did not get a place.
