34 MPs and 2 technocrats called by the cabinet division to take oath today

Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbubur Rahman announced the names of the new cabinet members on Wednesday night

Special Correspondent: With nearly one-thirds of them are new, 34 newly elected members of the parliament and two technocrats have been phoned, from the cabinet division, for taking oath as members of the cabinet. Oath of the cabinet, again formed by the ruling Awami League, will take place at the Bangabhban at 7pm today on 11th of January, said the Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain, at press briefing held at the secretariat last evening.
Mahbub disclosed the names of members of the upcoming cabinet. Portfolios of the cabinet members will be given by the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina after the oath.
The new cabinet will be constituted with a total of 25 full ministers and 11 state ministers. Two of these are technocrats (not members of parliament). Apart from this, 11 are state ministers.
The persons who have been called to take oath as new ministers are AKM Mozammel Haque, elected from Gazipur-1 constituency and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Liberation War, Obaidul Quader, elected from Noakhali-5 and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Communications, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, elected from Narsingdi-4 constituency and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Industries, Asaduzzaman Khan elected from Dhaka-12 constituency and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Dipu Moni, elected from Chandpur-3 constituency and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Education, Md. Tajul Islam elected from Comilla-9 constituency and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Local Governments and Rural Development, Muhammad Farooq Khan, elected from Gopalganj-1 constituency and who has earlier served at the ministry or commerce and the ministry of civil aviation, Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, elected from Dinajpur-4 constituency and who has previously served at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anisul Haque, elected from Brahmanbaria-4 constituency and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Law , Mohammad Hasan Mahmud, elected from Chittagong-7 and the incumbent minister at the Ministry of Information Md. Abdus Shaheed, elected from Moulvibazar-4 constituency and a former Chief Whip, Sadhan Chandra Majumdar, elected from Naogaon-1 constituency and incumbent minister at the Ministry of Food, RM Ubaidul Moktadir Chowdhury, elected from Brahmanbaria-3 and a businessman , Md. Abdur Rahman, elected from Faridpur-1 constituency, Narayan Chandra Chand, elected from Khulna-5 constituency Abdus Salam, elected from Mymensingh-9 constituency, Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, elected from Chittagong-9 constituency and the incumbent state minister for education, Farhad Hossain, electred from Meherpur-1 constituency and the incumbent state minister for establishment Md. Faridul Haque Khan, elected from Jamalpur-2 consistency a a former principal secretary, Md. Jillul Hakim, elected from Rajbari-2, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, elected from (Dhaka-9 and a former forest and environment minister, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, elected from Dhaka-13 and a former state minister for LGRD Nazmul Hasan, elected from Kishorganj-3 and incumbent president of Bangladesh Crick et Board, Yafes Osman, a technocrat and the incumbent state minister for sciency and technology and Samant Lal Sen, a technocrat and a renowned physician
The state ministers are Simin Hossain Rimi (Gazipur-4), Nasrul Hamid (Dhaka-3), Junaid Ahmed (Nator-3), Mohammad Ali Arafat (Dhaka-17), Mahibur Rahman (Patuakhali-4), Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury (Dinajpur- 2), Zahid Farooq (Barisal-5), Kujendra Lal Tripura (Khagrachari), Rumana Ali (Gazipur-3), Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury (Sylhet-2) and Ahsanul Islam (Tangail-6).
