Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has swept away three prestigious awards from the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for its exemplary 2022 Annual Report. The bank received: Gold Award (1st Place): Private Sector Banking Institutions Category; Joint Silver Award (2nd Place): SAARC Anniversary Award for Corporate Governance Disclosure Category (shared with another recipient); Bronze Award (3rd Place): Integrated Reporting Category.

The awards were presented at a ceremony on Friday, in New Delhi, India. Abdul Aziz, Additional Managing Director & CBO, and Jafar Sadeq, FCA, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, received the honors from CA. Nihar N. Jambusaria, President of SAFA.

High-ranking officials from SAFA were also present at the ceremony to celebrate the bank’s achievement.
