NCC Bank Limited recently organized its Annual Risk Conference-2023 to underscore the importance of risk management in the digital banking era. The conference, held at a Dhaka hotel , brought together senior management, divisional heads, and branch managers to discuss the challenges and opportunities of managing risk in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Zabdul Islam, Director of the Department of Off-site Supervision (DOS-2) at Bangladesh Bank, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he emphasized the crucial role of risk management in ensuring the long-term sustainability of banking operations. He commended NCC Bank for addressing the contemporary issue of digital banking risks as the conference’s theme.
Mamdudur Rashid, Managing Director & CEO of NCC Bank, presided over the ceremony. He reiterated the bank’s commitment to conducting banking operations in line with regulatory directives and urged all concerned officials to exercise heightened caution in the face of emerging challenges.
Rafat Ullah Khan, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Risk Officer of the Bank, presented a comprehensive overview of the bank’s core risks and offered insights into risk mitigation strategies. He emphasized the need for continuous vigilance and adaptation to effectively manage risks in the dynamic digital banking environment.
