Evercare Hospital launches first-ever Insulin Pump Clinic in Bangladesh

The insulin pump clinic, renowned globally for diabetes treatment, has been inaugurated at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

In celebration of World Diabetes Day, Evercare Hospital aims to enhance access to the insulin pump program, seeking to improve the lives of those with Type 1 diabetes, according to a press release.

This center, the first of its kind in Bangladesh, offers insulin pump services with technical support from ACI Healthcare Equipment, providing a convenient option for diabetes patients.

Rumana Dowla, Head of MSD, ACI, expressed, “I think if we look across the country, the level of public coverage for diabetes medications, devices, and supplies, including insulin pumps, varies significantly, and we’re continuing to advocate to make sure that. During an event organized for this occasion, Ratnadeep Chaskar, Chief Managing Director and CEO of Evercare Hospital Dhaka, along with Director Arif Mahmud, Rumana Daula from ACI Pharma and ACI Healthcare Equipment, and Diabetology and Endocrinology Department Senior Consultant Professor Abdul Mannan Sarkar, Associate Professor Ahsanul Haque Amin, Nazmul Islam from the General Surgery Department, and Senior Consultant Professor Sheikh Mohammad Abu Zafar from Medtronic Bangladesh Regional Manager Roknuzzaman, presented various aspects of insulin pump technology on Monday
