Chinese Ambassador visits DU, talks about establishing Center for China Studies

The Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, visited Dhaka University (DU) on Tuesday to meet with Prof. Dr. A S M Maksud Kamal. During the visit, he talked about the establishment of a multidisciplinary research center at Dhaka University, named “The Center for China Studies.”

The discussions also covered various topics, including strategies to enhance the ongoing joint academic and research collaborations between the University of Dhaka and other Chinese universities.

The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the longstanding and warm relations between China and Bangladesh, expressing optimism that these relations would further strengthen in the future.

In attendance at the meeting, alongside other representatives from the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka, was Prof. Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration), DU.
