NCC Bank distributed agricultural materials at no cost to 550 marginal farmers at Monohardi, Narsingdi, as part of its special corporate social responsibility to increase agricultural production and conduct financial literacy activities.

Minister of Industries Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun attended the ceremony as chief guest, while Mahbub Alam, Deputy Managing Director of NCC Bank, presided over the ceremony. They distributed various types of seeds, fertilizer, and pesticides among marginal farmers in Narsingdi Sadar, Palash, Shibpur, Belabo, Raipura, and Monohardi Upazila on Saturday.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun considered this agriculture material distribution a great initiative of NCC Bank on the call of the Prime Minister and said that marginal farmers of Narsingdi districts will benefit from these activities, and it will also be helpful to develop the economic condition of the farmers in this area.

The DMD of NCC Bank, Mahbub Alam, said that NCC Bank is working for the food security of our country. It is supporting marginal farmers to cultivate a single inch of land across the country as a part of social responsibility. He hoped that NCC Bank would play a vital role in providing agricultural machinery and advanced technology equipment to farmers at no cost, as well as agricultural research work and the preservation of agricultural products to develop our total agricultural production in the near future.

The bank also conducted financial literacy activities to include underprivileged and marginalized people in the financial sector, as per the direction of Bangladesh Bank.

Azizur Rahman, Deputy Director of Narsingdi Agriculture Extension Department; Rezaul Karim Upazila Nirbahi, Officer of Monohardi; and Upazila Agriculture Officer Runa Akther were also present on the occasion as special guests. Besides, Monirul Alam, SEVP and Company Secretary, and Ghalib Asadullah, VP and Head of Security and Logistics of NCC Bank, Rezaul Islam, a renowned businessman, and Sadikur Rahman Shamim, Chairman of Sukandi Union Parishad, along with managers and officers of the Narsingdi and Madahabdi branches of NCC Bank, were also present in the ceremony.
