Walton declares 190% dividend for FY26 as EPS rises

Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, a listed electronics manufacturer, has recommended a total 190% dividend for shareholders for the fiscal year 2025-26 ended June 30, 2026.

The company recommended an 180% cash dividend, equivalent to Tk 18 per share with a face value of Tk 10, along with a 10% stock dividend, or one bonus share for every 10 ordinary shares.

The decision was taken at a board meeting on Saturday (August 29) following a review of the company’s audited financial statements.

According to Walton’s price-sensitive information (PSI), its earnings per share (EPS) rose to Tk 33.75 in FY2025-26, compared with Tk 31.11 in the previous fiscal year.

The company attributed the rise in profitability mainly to a significant reduction in financing costs. Walton’s financing expenses fell by Tk 267.26 crore during the year, declining to 2.45% of total sales from Tk 448.40 crore, or 6.33% of sales, a year earlier.

The company also recorded an improvement in cash flow. Net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) increased to Tk 63.72, from Tk 52.91 in FY2024-25.

Walton said the improvement was driven by a Tk 694.36 crore, or 8.84%, increase in collections from customers, while payments to suppliers declined by 2.31%.

As of June 30, 2026, the company’s net asset value (NAV) per share, including revaluation, stood at Tk 381.26, up from Tk 363.40 a year earlier. Excluding revaluation, NAV per share was Tk 280.24.

Walton said the proposed 10% stock dividend will be used to expand the capacity of its Green Energy Project under its modernisation, replacement and expansion (BMRE) programme, aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply to its manufacturing facilities.

The company has set September 20, 2026 as the record date for determining shareholders’ eligibility for the dividend. Its Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled to be held virtually on October 15 at 12:00 noon for approval of the proposed dividend and other matters.
