The first meeting of the Executive Committee of state-owned Shariah-based Sammilito Islami Bank PLC was held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the bank’s corporate office.
The meeting was chaired by Kazi Shairul Hasan, Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors.
Among others, Executive Committee members, Dr. Hafiz Ahmed Chowdhury, Secretary of the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division under the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; Md. Shahriar Kader Siddiqui, Secretary of the Economic Relations Division under the Ministry of Finance; K. M. Zakaria; Sammilito Islami Bank Managing Director Abedur Rahman Sikder; and Company Secretary (current charge) Md. Monirul Islam were present at the meeting.
At the first Executive Committee meeting, investment proposals submitted by various branches of the bank were discussed and approved.
