The Premier Bank PLC recently participated as the Banking Partner in BCS Health Cadre Day 2026, organized by the Bangladesh Civil Service Health Cadre Association (BCSHCA). Held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, the event marked a historic milestone for Bangladesh’s healthcare sector, bringing together members of the BCS Health Cadre to celebrate their contributions to the nation’s public health system.
Dr. Arifur Rahman, Chairman of The Premier Bank PLC, attended the event as a distinguished guest. Addressing the audience, he reflected on the rich legacy of Bangladesh’s professional movements, noting that the united efforts of physicians, engineers, and agriculturists in 1978 played a pivotal role in advancing the rights and recognition of professionals in the country. He also shared his involvement in initiatives that facilitated the procurement and introduction of COVID-19 vaccines from the global market during the pandemic.
Highlighting Premier Bank’s commitment to the healthcare community, Dr. Arifur Rahman outlined a range of specialized banking solutions tailored for members of the BCS Health Cadre. These include SME financing for establishing and expanding private chambers, hospitals, and diagnostic centers; preferential FDR rates; pre-approved credit cards; special home and auto loan facilities; and QR code-based digital payment solutions.
The organizers expressed optimism that such initiatives would strengthen professional development, foster meaningful policy dialogue, and contribute to the delivery of more efficient, accessible, and sustainable healthcare services across Bangladesh.
