The 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh General Insurance Company PLC. (BGIC) was held on 18 June 2026 through a virtual platform at the Company’s Head Office. At the outset of the meeting, a special Dua was offered seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of BGIC’s Founder, M. A. Samad, and other deceased shareholders and members associated with the Company. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Company, Mr. Towhid Samad. A large number of Shareholders including Mr. Ahmed Saifuddin Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of the Company were present at the meeting.
BGIC, the first Non-Life Insurance Company in the private sector of Bangladesh, approved 11% Cash Dividend on enhanced paid up capital of Tk. 54.03 crore approximately for the year 2025.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Chairman Mr. Salim Bhuiyan, Public Director Mr. Md. Shakil Rizvi, Nominated Director Mr. Mohammad Manjur Mahmud and Mr. A K M Mazharul Islam, Independent Director Mr. Nasir Uddin Chowdhury and Mrs. Priti Chakraborty, along with senior officials of the Company. Mr. Saifuddin Ahmed, Additional Managing Director & Company Secretary, conducted the proceedings of the meeting.
