B Mirror Report: A meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, is underway at the Bangladesh Secretariat in the capital.
The meeting began this morning at the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division, according to Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Md Suzauddhowla Sujon Mahmud.
The latest ECNEC meeting comes a week after the previous session held on June 9, when a total of 12 new and revised development projects were placed before the committee for consideration.
Of those proposals, ECNEC approved 10 projects aimed at boosting development in key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, technology and energy.
The outcomes and decisions of the current meeting are expected to be announced after the session concludes.
