Agrani Bank sues businessmen over loan default claims

Agrani Bank PLC has initiated legal proceedings against loan defaulters over recovery of outstanding dues. The bank filed a case at the Money Loan Court-3 in Chattogram, seeking to recover Tk 234.20 crore from M/s Muhi Steel & Ship Recyclers Ltd and its owner Mujibur Rahman Milan, along with other accused persons.

In another case, the same branch filed a separate lawsuit against M/S Maxship Builders Limited and its Chairman Mohammad Alauddin, Managing Director Mohammad Jayanal Abedin, and Director Jamil Abedin for recovering Tk 302.64 crore.

The cases were filed following loan default allegations under Money Loan Court-3 in Chattogram. The cases are connected to earlier financial transactions and default claims dating back to 2022.
