B Mirror Report: Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today participated in the third sitting of the inaugural session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) held here.
According to Jahidul Islam Rony, Deputy Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, the premier took his seat five minutes before the session resumed at 3:00 pm, following the Eid-ul-Fitr recess.
The sitting was presided over by JS Deputy Speaker and Netrokona-1 lawmaker Barrister Kayser Kamal in the absence of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Bir Bikram. At the beginning of the session, the deputy speaker delivered a welcome address to the members.
The maiden session of the new Jatiya Sangsad commenced on March 12. On March 15, after the second sitting, the session was adjourned and scheduled to reconvene today at 3:00 pm.
