Bangladesh sees 44.3% rise in remittance inflow in early March

B Mirror Report: The Bangladesh Bank reported a year-on-year growth of 44.3 percent in remittance inflows, which reached US$1,920 million in the first 11 days of March.

During the same period last year, remittances stood at $1,330 million, according to the latest data released by the central bank today.

For the current fiscal year, from July to March 11, 2026, expatriates sent a total of $24,374 million in remittances, up from $19,820 million during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

This significant growth underscores the continued contribution of overseas Bangladeshis to the country’s foreign exchange reserves and economic stability.
