The annual sports competition-2026 of state-owned Agrani Bank PLC was held at the Government Physical Education College ground in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. On the morning of Saturday, 17 January, the event was inaugurated by the Chairman of Agrani Bank’s Board of Directors, Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, as the chief guest.
At the ceremony, members of the Board of Directors, including Dr. Mohammad Fazlul Haque, Kabirul Izdani Khan, Mohammad Sultan Mahmud, Muzaffar Ahmed, Md. Saeed Kutub, Managing Director Md. Anwarul Islam, Deputy Managing Directors, and senior executives were also present.
In the main competition, executives, officers, and employees of all levels of Agrani Bank participated in a variety of sports, including march past, running, relay race, long jump, high jump, cycling race, shot put, discus throw, pillow passing, pot breaking, tug of war, and musical chairs.
The two-day annual competition was organized under the supervision of the Convener and Deputy Managing Director, Parsuma Alam, and the Member Secretary and General Manager, Md. Jalal Uddin. At the conclusion on Saturday afternoon, prizes were distributed among the winners.
In his remarks, the chief guest said that sports are a source of joy worldwide. By bringing the joy derived from sports into the workplace, Agrani Bank will be able to achieve its desired success.
