Saudi Envoy Holds Courtesy Meeting with Home Adviser

B Mirror ReportThe Saudi Ambassador went to see the Home Adviser. They talked about how strong the relationship is between Dhaka and Riyadh. The Saudi Ambassador said that the ties between Dhaka and Riyadh are very good and they want to keep it that way. The Saudi Ambassador and the Home Adviser had a meeting and they both agreed that Dhaka and Riyadh should keep working together. The relationship between Dhaka and Riyadh is important, to the Ambassador and they want to make sure it stays strong.

Saudi Arabias Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr. Abdullah Zafer Bin Abiyah went to see Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury at his office. This office is in the Home Ministry, at the Bangladesh Secretariat. He did this on Thursday. The Ambassador said that Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh want to be friends. They want to make their relationship stronger. Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh are committed to working. They will do things to make their bilateral relations better. This is what the Ambassador said when he met Home Adviser Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

The Home Ministry said in a press release that the meeting was some important things that affect Bangladesh and other countries. They talked about how to send people from Bangladesh to work in countries how to increase trade between Bangladesh and other countries and how to get ready for the national elections that are coming up in Bangladesh. The national elections in Bangladesh are a deal and people are working hard to prepare for the national elections, in Bangladesh.

The Saudi envoy invited Bangladesh to the World Defense Show during the meeting. This World Defense Show is going to take place in Riyadh. Bangladesh is being asked to participate in the World Defense Show. The World Defense Show is something that the Saudi envoy wants Bangladesh to be a part of.

The Home Adviser welcomed the ambassador. Said that Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia are really close and friendly countries. Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia have a bond. Saudi Arabia is an important place for the people of Bangladesh because it is the holy land of Islam. Also Saudi Arabia is like a home to many Bangladeshi people who work there. More than 3.2 million Bangladeshi expatriate workers. The Home Adviser talked about how important these expatriate workersre for Bangladeshs economy. He asked Saudi Arabia to hire people from Bangladesh. The Home Adviser hopes that if Saudi Arabia recruits workers, from Bangladesh it will help Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia work together even better.

The adviser said that not many people are showing up to enroll for their passports. This is a problem because a lot of people have applied for passports. The adviser has already talked to the Interior Minister about this issue. The number of people enrolling for passports is still lower, than the number of people who have applied for passports.

The Home Adviser talked about the national election preparations. He said the Election Commission is in charge of running the election.. The Ministry of Home Affairs is responsible for keeping everything peaceful and safe. The Ministry of Home Affairs is fully ready to do its job.

The Home Adviser also said that this time the police and other law enforcement agencies got training before the national election. They are ready to keep law and order during the election. A circular has already been sent out to tell them where they will be working during the election. The national election preparations are going well. The law enforcement agencies are ready, for the national election.

The person in charge said that they are working hard to get back the illegal and stolen weapons. They are doing this at the time as they are working on keeping the whole country safe with things, like Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2.

The Saudi ambassador invited the Home Adviser to attend the World Defense Show, scheduled for 8–14 February 2026 in Riyadh, and handed over an official invitation letter from the Saudi Interior Minister. While expressing his inability to attend the event due to Bangladesh’s 13th national election on 12 February 2026, the Home Adviser assured that an appropriate representative would participate in the show on Bangladesh’s behalf.
