Following the passing of national leader Begum Khaleda Zia, a condolence meeting and prayer were organized by the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union (B-985 CBA) at the bank’s central auditorium on 13 January 2026.
Mirza Abbas, a key leader of the BNP and a member of the party’s National Standing Committee as well as a prominent figure from the Dhaka-8 constituency, attended the program as the chief guest. Special guests included Mustafizul Karim Majumdar, Joint Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal; Rafiqul Islam, its Finance Secretary; and Badrul Alam Sabuj, Member Secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan South Sramik Dal.
The chief guest was formally welcomed by Md. Zahid Hossain, DGM and Chief Coordinator of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Jatiyatabadi Forum. The condolence meeting was chaired by the union’s respected president, Fayez Uddin Ahmed, while the event was conducted by Md. Miraj Hossain, the CBA’s General Secretary and a member of the Dhaka Metropolitan South Sramik Dal.
In his address, the chief guest highlighted the life and contributions of Begum Khaleda Zia and paid tribute to her leadership and legacy.
