Janata Bank PLC Mourns Death of Begum Khaleda Zia

Janata Bank PLC has expressed deep sorrow at the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. On Tuesday, December 30, a condolence resolution was adopted at the 870th meeting of the Board of Directors of Janata Bank, marking her passing. The meeting, chaired by the bank’s Chairman, Md. Fazlur Rahman, CSP, included a discussion on Begum Zia’s long and distinguished political career. Special prayers (munajat) were later offered at the board meeting, seeking forgiveness for her departed soul.

In addition, a special prayer gathering was held after Asr prayers at the prayer hall of the bank’s head office, organized by the Janata Bank Nationalist Officers’ Welfare Association and the Nationalist Bankers’ Association. The prayer session was attended by the bank’s Managing Director Md. Mujibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Directors, General Managers of the head office, and executives, officers, and employees from all levels of the bank.
