Community Bank Signs Participatory Agreement to Join Bangladesh Bank’s SMEDP-2 Refinance Facility

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. has signed a “Participatory Agreement” with Bangladesh Bank to join the Refinance Agreement under under the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Project–2 (SMEDP-2), aimed at strengthening SME financing and expanding access to credit for small and medium entrepreneurs across Bangladesh. SMEDP-2 is a flagship initiative of Bangladesh Bank supported by development partners, targeting job creation, enterprise growth, and improved competitiveness within the SME sector.

S. M. Abdul Hakim, Executive Director (Grade-1), Bangladesh Bank graced the program with their kind presence. Ms. Munira Islam, Director SMEDP-2 of Bangladesh Bank and Mr. Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (Current Charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. signed & exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at Conference Room, 3rd Floor, Main Building of Bangladesh Bank.

Besides, Md. Tarikul Islam, Additional Director, SMEDP-2 of Bangladesh Bank and Dr. Md. Ariful Islam, Head of Corporate Banking & Head of Business (Branch), Sharif Hasan Mamun, Head of SME & Agriculture, along with other Senior Officials of Bangladesh Bank & Community Bank were also present on this occasion.
