Panna Kushtia District Correspondent: The monthly meeting of the District Law and Order Committee was held today in the conference room of the Kushtia Deputy Commissioner’s office. The meeting was presided over by Kushtia Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Abu Hena Mohammad Arefin.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the overall law and order situation in the district, crime trends, social issues, drug control, prevention of smuggling, traffic congestion, market management, maintaining religious harmony, and recent administrative activities.
Present at the meeting were key administrative officials of the district, senior police officers, representatives from Ansar-VDP, the Fire Service, the Health Department, heads of various departments, and elected public representatives.
In his speech, the Deputy Commissioner said, “To establish good governance, it is essential to ensure the proper implementation of the law. Coordination between the administration, police, and the public is crucial for maintaining law and order. Only through the joint efforts of all departments can we build a safe and developed Kushtia.”
Reiterating the district’s zero-tolerance policy against drugs, he said, “Drugs are a threat to the country’s future generations. No one will be spared in this regard. People from all walks of life must come forward.”
Other officials present at the meeting also put forward various effective proposals for improving the law and order situation in the district and pledged to implement them collectively.
At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner thanked everyone involved and said,
“The way you all are cooperating to build a disciplined and peaceful district, I hope this support will continue in the future as well.”
