Raihan Mymensingh Correspondent:  A discussion meeting and award distribution ceremony was organized on the occasion of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking-2025 at the Advocate Tarek Smriti Auditorium, Mymensingh at 10 am on June 26, 2025. At the beginning, an anti-drug rally and human chain were held with the participation of students of various schools, officials and employees of various departments.

Mr. Mohammad Mokhtar Ahmed, Divisional Commissioner, Mymensingh was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting. The discussion meeting was presided over by Umme Habiba Mira, Additional District Magistrate, Mymensingh.

Mohammad Ataul Kibria, DIG, Mymensingh; Mohammad Saiful Islam Kham, Civil Surgeon, Mymensingh; Mohaiminer Rashid, Additional Superintendent of Police were present as special guests.

Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Deputy Director, District Narcotics Control Department, Mymensingh, delivered the welcome speech at the event.

The keynote speaker at the event was Mohammad Zafrullah Kajal, Additional Director, Department of Narcotics Control, Mymensingh Division.

In addition, Shamim Hossain, proprietor of Sanko Drug Addiction Treatment Center, Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman Manik, proprietor of Thika Drug Addiction Treatment Center, Sohel Mia, proprietor of Thai Drug Addiction Treatment Center, Khokon, proprietor of Parapar Drug Addiction Treatment Center, Manik Hossain, proprietor of Winner Drug Addiction Treatment Center, Mizanur Rahman, proprietor of Prabhudi Drug Addiction Treatment Center, and Mahbub Alam Pathan, proprietor of Sa’d Drug Addiction Treatment Center, were present.

At the end of the discussion, the guests presented awards to the students. Representatives of various government departments of Mymensingh, representatives of print and electronic media, and concerned individuals were also present.
