Google Pay to float in Bangladesh upcoming week

BM Desk : In Bangladesh, Google Pay, the company’s digital payment system, will formally debut. The service will be inaugurated on June 24 at a ceremony at a hotel in the capital by Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, governor of Bangladesh Bank.

With the assistance of Google, MasterCard, and Visa, City Bank is launching this service. By doing this, the nation’s first bank is integrating with Google Pay.

During the initial phase, Google Pay will only be accessible to City Bank MasterCard and Visa cardholders who have added their cards to Google Wallet. The opportunity will grow if additional banks are added later.

Customers can use Google Pay to touch their Android phone on any point-of-sale (POS) terminal in the nation or overseas to complete quick, easy, and secure transactions. It won’t be necessary to carry an additional card.

The client needs to have an Android smartphone in order to use the service. It is necessary to add the City Bank card and download the Google Pay app on the phone. At any store or restaurant after that, you will be able to pay by tapping your smartphone.

There are no transaction fees associated with Google Pay. By substituting a “token” for the actual card information, this guarantees the security of consumer data.
