Md. Abdul Based Panchagarh Correspondent: The construction of a flag stand and gate has been inaugurated for the beautification of the Banglabandha ICP Zero Point area in Panchagarh. Today, Saturday at 11:15 am, the foundation stone of the construction of the highest 140-foot flag stand and gate in Bangladesh, approximately 60 yards from the main pillar 732/2 S of Banglabandha ICP Zero Point, and the construction of the beautification work was inaugurated by Panchagarh Deputy Commissioner Md. Sabet Ali.

Speaking as the chief guest, the Deputy Commissioner said that a large flag stand (approximately 100 feet high) of India is hoisted 24 hours a day on the Fulbari border of India at the top of Banglabandha Zero Point. The demand of the people of Panchagarh district was that a large flag stand be built at Banglabandha Zero Point to hoist our national flag. In view of the said demand, the foundation stone of the 140-foot high flag stand was inaugurated with a special allocation from the Local Government Department. This flag stand will be the largest flag stand in Bangladesh where our national flag will fly in the sky with a fluttering sound.
