BM Desk: A mild earthquake was felt in various parts of the country including the capital Dhaka on Friday afternoon. The tremors occurred at 4:52 pm, which lasted for a few seconds.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said that the magnitude of the earthquake was 4 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was 68 kilometers north of Comilla city and 26 kilometers north of Agartala, India. Its depth was 10 kilometers.
The tremors caused tremors in some structures. As a result, some panic spread among the general public. Immediately after the earthquake, many people posted on social media and advised to stay safe.
No immediate reports of damage were received. However, those concerned are asking to remain alert.
