Dhaka’s Ali Martuza becomes millionaire buying Walton fridge

Ali Martuza, a small trader at Jatrabari in Dhaka, was awarded Tk 10 lakh after he had purchased a Walton brand refrigerator under the ‘millionaire’ offer of the company’s nationwide ongoing Digital Campaign Season-22.

Prior to him, Rasel Fakir, a college student from Charbhadrasan upazila of Faridpur, and Khokon Mia, a farmer from Netrokona, became millionaire awarding Tk 10 lakh each through buying Walton fridge in Season-22.

Popular film actor Amin Khan and Walton’s Chief Marketing Officer handed over a cheque worth Tk10 lakh to Martuza at a programme held at Shanir Akhra area in the capital on Saturday (March 15, 2025).

In season-22, customers are offered Tk 10 lakh on the purchase of Walton brand fridge, AC, washing machine or BLDC fan from any Walton Plaza and distributor outlet across the country. In addition, crores of taka sure cashback are also available for customers. Customers will enjoy these benefits until Eid-ul-Azha this year.

Under the campaign, Martuza had purchased a fridge from Walton’s distributor showroom ‘Electro Vision’ at Tk 46,700 on March 8, 2025. After that, his name, mobile number and the model number of the purchased fridge are digitally registered. After a while, he received a message from Walton on his mobile with the notification that he was awarded Tk10 lakh cashback.

At the event, Ali Martuza said, “I never thought that I would get one million taka by buying a Walton refrigerator. Many companies do not keep their promises to customers. But, Walton is an exception. Thanks to the Walton authorities for that.”

The cheque handover ceremony was also attended by Walton’s Executive Director Monirul Haque Mona, Walton fridge’s brand manager Mostafizur Rahman and Proprietor of Electro Vision Kazi Belayet Hossain.
