Inflation should improve in five to six months: Governor

Reality must align with expectations. The rate of inflation has decreased and will continue to decline. Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, governor of Bangladesh Bank, stated, “I am anticipating something better in five to six months.”

In the afternoon of Thursday, February 20, he told reporters in the capital.

“The market will be right if the policy is right,” the governor said. The government is also trying to lower inflation to less than five percent.

Our reserves are no longer declining, he said. They are gradually growing in number. We can raise the reserves on our own even if the IMF funding does not arrive.
According to Ahsan H. Mansur, our export and remittance flows are doing well. Reserve growth is not a cause for concern.

The governor added that there is a sufficient supply of everyday essentials for the month of Ramadan.

He claimed that the revenue sector’s failure cannot be resolved by a one-year government and that the issues facing our nation are not typically faced by any other nation at the same time.
