Finance Ministry forms committee for sustainable development of stock market

The Ministry of Finance has formed a committee of ten members for the sustainable development of the stock market of Bangladesh. Representatives of various regulatory agencies have been made members of this committee.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance. It was signed by Deputy Secretary Farida Yasmin. She signed the notification on February 3.

The committee will have as members – representative of National Board of Revenue (minimum commissioner), representative of Bangladesh Bank (minimum director), representative of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (minimum executive director), representative of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (minimum executive director), representative of Microcredit Regulatory Authority (minimum executive director), representative of Financial Reporting Council (minimum executive director), chairman of Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange, Exchange Chairman.
