Standard Bank PLC. has distributed blankets & winter clothes among the poor cold struck people of Banshkhali, Chattogram. Alhaj Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, Director & Founder Vice Chairman of Standard Bank PLC. was present as Chief Guest and handed over blankets and winter clothes to the under privileged at the event organized in front of Kazim Chowdhury Bhaban, Gunagori, Upazila, Chattogram on 01 February 2025. Shabbir Ahmad Chowdhury, Head of Khatungonj branch of the bank, presided over the ceremony where General Secretary of UNESCO Club, Rafiqul Hasan Minu, Vice President Nilraton Dash Gupta, Member Mahbub Ur Rahman, Directors of Standard Bank Securities Ltd. Tazmeem Mostafa Chowdhury & Tanveer Mostafa Chowdhury, Director of Standard Bank Capital Management Ltd. Intishar Mostafa Chowdhury were present as special guest. Alhaj Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, in his speech as the chief guest; said that if the wealthy people of the rural township and various institutions come forward, the poor people will no longer suffer in winter. He also said Standard Bank PLC. have been distributing winter clothes regularly in different parts of Bangladesh. In continuation of that, ‘I am grateful to Standard Bank for being able to distribute winter clothes among 1000 cold struck people at Banshkhali’.
