The website of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main capital market, has been shut down due to renovation and development work. The site has not been accessible since Thursday (January 9) evening.
When trying to access the website, a message is displayed saying ‘Website is under maintenance, we will be back soon. Thank you for your patience.
When asked about this, Public Relations Officer of DSE Shafiqur Rahman said, due to repairs, the website of DSE is temporarily being accessed. There will be no trading on DSE for the next two days due to weekly closure. Therefore, since the completion of the transaction today, the development of DSE’s website is being done by looking into the software complexity. The website can be accessed again at any time after the work is completed.
It is to be noted that on the first working day of the week (January 5), the trading of DSE started one and a half hours after the scheduled time due to a technical error in the software used for trading in the capital market. The problem was detected while trading was starting at the scheduled time at 10 am. It took 11:30 am to fix the glitch and start trading.
