The regulatory body Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has decided to fine 9 individuals and institutions Tk 600.21 crore for share manipulation of Orion Infusion, a company listed on the stock exchange. The decision was taken at a commission meeting held on Tuesday (December 10) under the chairmanship of BSEC Chairman Khandaker Rashed Maqsood.
This information was revealed in a press release signed by BSEC Executive Director and Spokesperson Mohammad Rezaul Karim.
Md. Sohel Alam has been fined Tk 18.40 crore, Ekhlasur Rahman Tk 14.60 crore, Mohammad Ebadul Karim Tk 13.15 crore, Risana Karim Tk 6 crore, Beacon Medicare Tk 5.50 crore, Beacon Pharmaceuticals-EPF Tk 1.45 crore, Beacon Pharmaceuticals-EGF Tk 1 crore, Nurunnahar Karim Tk 1 million and Beacon Pharmaceuticals Tk 1 lakh.
