On the second working day of the week, the country’s main stock market, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), ended trading with a negative trend in the price index. On this day, the DSE saw the lowest trading volume in the last 4 and a half months.
Earlier, on July 24 of this year, 159 crore 37 lakh 70 thousand taka was traded. Today, Tuesday, after four and a half months, 278 crore 66 lakh taka was traded.
According to the source, on Monday (December 10), the main index of DSE ‘DSEX’ fell by 14.85 points. The index is currently at 5 thousand 166 points.
In addition, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ fell by 2.65 points to 1154 points and the ‘DS-30′ index fell by 4.57 points to 1904 points.
Shares and units worth Tk 278 crore 66 lakh were traded on DSE today. The previous working day, Tk 293 crore 38 lakh was traded.
A total of 395 companies’ shares and units changed hands on the DSE on Monday. Among the companies participating in the transaction, 126 companies’ prices increased, while 179 companies’ prices decreased. In addition, the prices of shares and units of 90 companies remained unchanged.
