Money Laundering Will Get Caught: Finance Advisor

In the future, someone will be caught if money is smuggled, said the financial adviser. Salehuddin Ahmed. He said this at a seminar titled ‘Policy Dialogue on Financial and Economic Reforms in Bangladesh’ at Mahakhali in the capital on Saturday (November 16) at noon.
The adviser said, ‘Work is being done to come out of the looting in the economic sector. The trend of showing only development in the economy, that development strategy has to be changed.

Salehuddin Ahmed said that there is a need for middlemen, but because of them, the price of products increases. Trying to reduce hands.

The finance advisor said that policy and implementation will be separated in the revenue sector. He said, ‘Most of the institutions are on the verge of destruction. Many projects have been done, feasibility tests have not been done. No tax was paid on Adani. Time has been taken to pay Adani.

Both multilateral and bilateral have assured cooperation in the field of reforms. If there is no economic stability, foreign partners will also reduce aid, said Salehuddin Ahmed.

Stating that arrangements are being made to bring back the smuggled money, he further said, ‘If someone smuggles money in the future, they will be caught. Whoever is in the private or public sector will be caught.

Urging politicians to follow in the footsteps of the interim government, the finance adviser said, “Financial and political challenges will be tackled.”
