On the first working day of the week, the main stock market of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), started trading with rising price index. Along with that, the price of most of the shares continued to rise till the middle of the day. However, investors were disappointed as the transaction did not materialize to the end.
On Sunday (October 3), DSE’s flagship index ‘DS30’ fell. Along with that, the amount of share transactions in Tk. numbers also decreased on this day.
According to Dhaka Stock Exchange sources, today the main index of the exchange ‘DSE X’ lost 8 points. Currently the index stands at 5 thousand 190 points. Among the other two indexes, the ‘DSE 30’ fell by 10 points. And ‘DSE S’ index decreased by 2 points.
Shares and units worth Tk. 431 crore 36 lakh were traded in DSE today. On the previous working day (Thursday) the transaction was Tk. 556 crore 30 lakh.
A total of 398 shares and units were traded in the main stock market today. Among them, the share prices of 39 companies were unchanged. Shares of 178 companies increased in price, on the contrary, share prices of 181 companies decreased today.
