Deputy Governor Noorun Nahar will serve in the absence of the Governor of Bangladesh Bank.

According to the notification signed by Financial Institutions Deputy Secretary Afshana Bilkis, due to the resignation of Bangladesh Bank Governor Abdur Rauf Talukdad from 11 August 2024 until the new governor joins, the acting governors of Bangladesh Bank will carry out their daily activities in their respective fields in order to continue the daily activities.

It also said that Deputy Governor Nurun Nahar will look at the governor’s daily mail and forward it to the concerned department.
