After the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the country’s stock market regained momentum. The main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended the trading on the first working day of the week with a big rise in prices. Two thousand 10 crores were traded on this day. Which is the highest transaction in the current year.
According to sources, on Sunday (August 11), DSE’s main index ‘DSEX’ increased by 91.09 points. Currently the index stands at 6 thousand 15 points.
Besides, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ increased by 10.36 points to 1285 points and ‘DS-30’ index increased by 51.51 points to 2184 points.
Shares and units worth Tk 2,108 million were traded in DSE today. 1606 Crore 47 Lakh Tk was traded on the previous working day.
A total of 400 shares and units of companies were exchanged on DSE on Sunday. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 173 companies increased in price, while 207 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit prices of 20 companies were unchanged.
