Amid a seminar held at the Chinese Embassy Sunday evening, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, revealed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s impending trip to Beijing will mark a “game-changer,” opening a new chapter in Bangladesh-China relations.
The ongoing Beijing trip is being carried out by Masud Bin Momen, Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary, for bilateral discussions.
In collaboration with the Bangladesh-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) and the China Enterprises Association in Bangladesh (CEAB), the Chinese Embassy organized a seminar titled “China-Bangladesh Free Trade Agreement: A Mutually Beneficial and Win-Win Choice.”
The Chinese diplomat expressed readiness to collaborate closely with Bangladesh in wrapping up the review of the potential China-Bangladesh Free Trade Agreement (FTA) in the near future.
He emphasized, “I am confident that the initiation of the China-Bangladesh FTA will unveil a new golden era of economic and trade cooperation between China and Bangladesh, symbolizing a new era of prosperity.”
