The Malaysian High Commissioner in Bangladesh on Sunday said bilateral trade would increase fast in the years to come. She advised businesses of two countries to exploit market potentials in two countries vice versa.
“At present Malaysia exports annually at US$ 2.8 billion worth of products to Bangladesh and I see bilateral trade will increase fast in the coming days,” said Her Excellency Haznah Md. Hashim, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
She was speaking at the Ifter Mahfil, organized by the Malaysia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI). Diplomats of several foreign embassies in Dhaka and business leaders attended the event.
In his speech, Shabbir Ahmed Khan, president of the BMCCI said his chamber is designing some fresh programs to boost trade, investment and diverse economic relations.
