On the fourth working day of the week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the primary stock market of the country, is experiencing an upward trend. In the first hour and a half of trading today, the main index increased by 97 points. Concurrently, the transaction value surpassed Tk 424 crore during this timeframe.
This information was disclosed by sources from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
As per the source, one and a half hours after trading commenced on DSE on Wednesday (July 23), specifically until 11:30 am, the main index of DSE, known as ‘DSEX’, rose by 97.36 points, reaching a total of 5,367 points.
In addition to the main index, the Shariah index, referred to as ‘DSES’, saw an increase of 15.65 points, while the ‘DS-30’ index climbed by 54.33 points, settling at 1177 and 2084 points respectively.
During the specified period, a total of Tk 424 crore 44 lakh shares and units were traded on the DSE. Among the companies that were traded during this timeframe, the share prices of 264 companies rose, 60 fell, and 70 remained stable.
