18th World Autism Awareness Day held in Tangail

Mrinal Kanti Roy, Tangail : A rally and discussion meeting was held in Tangail on the occasion of the 18th World Autism Awareness Day 2025 under the slogan “Welcome Neurodiversity, Build a Sustainable Society”. The day was celebrated on Tuesday morning, April 22, organized by the district administration, district social services office, disability services and support center and voluntary organizations. Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Abdullah Al Mamun was present as the chief guest at the function presided over by Deputy Director of the District Social Services Office Md. Touhidul Islam. Also present at the event were Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md. Al-Amin Kabir, Headmaster of Tangail Intellectually Disabled School Nilufar Akhtar, General Secretary of RV TTI Sangstha Sifat Arefin, President of Tangail Sadar Upazila Disability Development Council Ruhul Amin Siraji, Md. Abdullah Al Noman, and children with special needs and guardians.
