10 companies accounted for 22 percent of transactions during the week

Shares and units worth Tk 4,447,950,000 were traded in the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) during the last week (July 7-11). Out of this, 22.27 percent was traded in the shares of only 10 companies. This information is known from DSE sources.

Shares and units of 396 companies were traded during the week under discussion. Out of this, 22.27 percent of the total transactions were in the shares of 10 companies.

Shares of Sea Pearl were the most traded among companies during the week. During the week, the company’s shares traded 4.02 percent of the total traded on DSE. The company has an average transaction of Tk 35 crore 74 lakh per day.

Other top traded companies on DSE during the week were – Beech Hatchery 2.72 percent, Orion Pharma 2.40 percent, Salvo Chemicals 2.27 percent, Lavello 2.12 percent, Asiatic Laboratories 2.02 percent, Forest Knitting 1.82 percent. Percent, Rupali Life Insurance traded at 1.75 percent, Alif Industries at 1.67 percent, and Aftab Auto at 1.55 percent.
