The Financial Literacy Wing of Sharia-based Union Bank Limited organized a financial literacy campaign entitled ‘Increasing social awareness to send expatriate income through legal channels’ at the Barisal branch recently.
Discussions and videos were shown on the importance of expatriate income, the benefits of remittance flow through banking channels, and the disadvantages of using hundi channels.
Financial Literacy Wing Supervisor Md. Golam Mostafa, headquarters, was present as the chief guest at the event. Barisal Branch Head Mushfiqur Rahman Khan and Jhalkathi Branch Head Md Sirajul Islam Khan were present as special guests. Local dignitaries and marginalized professionals were also present.
