Trading is underway on the country’s main stock exchange, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), on Tuesday (October 7), the third working day of the week, with a rise in the index. Share prices of most companies have increased.

According to the sources, in the first hour of trading — that is, by 11:00 AM — the DSE’s main index, DSEX, rose by 10.80 points, reaching 5,434 points.
The Shariah index (DSES) rose by 5.37 points to 1,177 points, while the DS-30 index increased by 0.39 points, standing at 2,089 points.
During this period, shares and units worth a total of 2.1013 billion BDT (Tk 210.13 crore) were traded on the DSE.
