Tk 239.7 Million to Fund 10 Essential Electricity Substations

The plan for the building of 10 33/11 kV GIS substations, which includes land development under the Power Department, has been approved by the Advisory Council Committee on Government Procurement. A total of 239 crore 70 lakh 573 taka will be spent on this project.

The approval was given at the Advisory Council Committee on Government Procurement meeting, which was presided over by Finance Advisor Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed and held on Tuesday, July 1, in the Cabinet Division conference room at the Secretariat.

As per sources from the meeting, in response to a proposal from the Power Department, the Advisory Council Committee has authorized the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 5 33/11 kV substations on a turnkey basis, along with the necessary land development work.

Ideal Electrical Enterprise will be responsible for executing the project, which will incur a cost of 123 crore 2 lakh 78 thousand 26 taka.

During the meeting, in light of another proposal from the Power Department, the Advisory Council Committee also approved the procurement of work that includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 5 33/11 kV substations on a turnkey basis, encompassing all required tasks and land development.

This project will similarly be carried out by Ideal Electrical Enterprise, with an estimated cost of 116 crore 67 lakh 22 thousand 547 taka.
