BM Desk: To take China–Bangladesh educational cooperation to a new height, three separate promotional seminars on the Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS Type-A) were held at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP)—the country’s centre for sports training, the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS)—the first IT-based private university in Bangladesh, and Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Molla College.
At the seminars, speakers said that this fully funded international scholarship from China not only opens the door to higher education but also strengthens the century-old bridge of friendship between the two nations. They further noted that this initiative will remain an important milestone for the future generation in the advancement of education and culture.

The inaugural seminar was held at BKSP, where the chief guest was Brigadier General Md Munirul Islam, Director General of the institution. He said:
“China’s world-class education system is opening doors of unique opportunities for our students. The CGS Type-A scholarship has created an exceptional path for developing internationally competent human resources.”
He also mentioned that BKSP and various institutions in China have long been collaborating in sports science, training, and education development, and this scholarship will strengthen that relationship even further.
The keynote speaker at the seminar was Dr. Maruf Molla, CEO of MalishaEdu, the official promotional partner of CGS Type-A. He stated:
“The Chinese Government Scholarship is a fully funded international scholarship operated under the Ministry of Education of China. Along with tuition fees, it provides free university accommodation, a monthly stipend (approximately BDT 42,000–59,000), a return air ticket, and comprehensive medical insurance.”
He added that students can apply even without knowing the Chinese language, as Master’s and PhD programs are available in English.

Huge Response at UITS and Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Molla College
Apart from BKSP, special seminars on CGS Type-A were also organized at UITS and Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Molla College. Policy-makers from both institutions attended and encouraged students to explore opportunities for higher education abroad.
Several thousand students participated in both seminars. They asked questions regarding eligibility, language requirements, university selection, and subject-wise opportunities, and were able to clear their doubts instantly.
New Confidence in Students’ Future Plans
Organizers believe that this initiative will open a new dimension in educational cooperation with China. The participation of thousands of students across the three institutions shows that international scholarships have become an essential prospect for national skill development.
They believe that students who pursue higher education in China through the CGS Type-A Scholarship will be able to contribute significantly to the country’s development and to the international arena in the future.
