On the fourth working day of the week, the main stock market of the country, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), finished trading with a positive trend. The main index increased by 17 points. However, the transaction on this day decreased by 16 percent from the previous working day.
According to sources, DSE’s main index ‘DSEX’ rose by 17.65 points on Wednesday (November 13). Currently the index stands at 5 thousand 316 points.
Besides, another index of DSE ‘DSES’ increased by 1.95 points to 1184 points and ‘DS-30’ index increased by 2.10 points to 1972 points.
Shares and units worth Tk 479 crore 87 lakh were traded in DSE today. 577 crore 66 lakh taka was traded on the previous working day. The transaction decreased by 16.92 percent in one day.
Shares and units of a total of 394 companies were exchanged on DSE on Wednesday. Among the institutions that participated in the transaction, 152 companies increased in price, while 175 companies decreased in price. Besides, the share and unit price of 67 companies remained unchanged.
