Dhaka University’s inter-hall student swimming and water polo competition concluded with a prize-giving ceremony on Thursday at the university’s swimming pool premises.

In the inter-hall swimming competition (boys), Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall emerged as the champion, and Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall secured the runner-up position. In the girls’ category, Kavi Sufia Kamal Hall claimed the championship, with Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Hall as the runner-up.

The inter-hall water polo competition saw Freedom Fighter Ziaur Rahman Hall clinching the championship and Bijoy Ekattor Hall securing the runner-up position. Eliyas Hossen of Ziaur Rahman Hall was recognized as the best swimmer among male students, while Tamanna Jahan of Kavi Sufia Kamal Hall received the title of the best swimmer among female students.

Muhammad Samad, Pro-VC (Administration) of DU, inaugurated the award ceremony as the chief guest. The event witnessed the presence of key figures such as Syed Saikh Imtiaz, the President of the Dhaka University Swimming and Water Polo Committee, and Asim Sarkar, the Advisor of the Physical Education Center, along with principals, teachers, and students from various halls.
